Jermaine Doss, a Virginia prisoner whom the Defenders believe was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to life-plus-34 years for a crime he did not commit, was turned down for parole for the second time on Dec. 6, 2021. The reasons given were the “Serious nature and circumstances of your offense(s); The Board concludes that you should serve more of your sentence prior to your release on parole.”
